We’re looking for an experienced professional who can partner closely with authors to elevate their manuscripts at the structural and narrative level. In this role, you will evaluate story architecture, character development, pacing, voice, worldbuilding, and thematic execution, then guide authors through revisions that strengthen their work while preserving their creative vision.

You will provide narrative analysis, editorial letters, scene-by-scene guidance, and revision plans, helping authors refine plot arcs, deepen emotional resonance, and ensure continuity. Successful candidates are collaborative, deadline-driven, and able to deliver clear and encouraging feedback that moves a manuscript toward publication-ready quality.

Minimum requirements:
• At least 5 years of long-form book editing experience in fiction
• Demonstrated experience editing completed or near-complete manuscripts
• Strong understanding of genre conventions, reader expectations, and market positioning
• Ability to translate big-picture feedback into actionable notes and coaching
• Excellent communication and project management skills
